my remix for röyksopp´s tricky tricky

today is the last day of the remix contest for röyksopp´s fantastic track tricky tricky and as i had spare time for the weekend, i attended with this remix. It´s my straightbeat weekend story to interpret… maybe it´s an aural time lapse for a clubbing time from friday afternoon to sunday midnight, maybe it´s a two parter to be played in a club from one style to another, or… maybe it´s all nonsense and it´s just 7m 25s for the subwoofer. as the track itself sais: this is what you get, a bunch of stories to interpret.

As, like for the most, the voice makes up the most of the track, i took that and adapted it in whole. a saw synth is quasicoded by the vocals and brings the needed body for the track. even more important to me is the sub line of the original track, which i took into account for my remix. it has been a little bit boosted for club convenience. A little fm synth in a 3/2 pattern is installed so those nerds have something to shift on and the main part is aided by röyksopp´s marvelous chord part. this is the stuff i´m searching for in the acid-music: beautiful melancholy. 143 BPM.

Hope you like it. Nevertheless, you may find another remix more fitting your taste. a lot of cool work is summing up there!

this release is dedicated to all the fellow people who join the freedom not fear movement next saturday in berlin!

more techno from my stuffed head. all tracks have been made when contemplating about data security, future of controls and planned desinformation. you´ll see, all tracks sound a bit shifted. i released these tracks from my hard drive to ‘our web’ so interested listeners can use them for body movement and head trips while informing on encryption issues or other counter measurements that become necessary because laws are tweaked to allow full data collection.

don´t let the internet be censored. don´t throw all your private data into the web – it will be stored longer than you might think. consider using open source software. always going for creative commons.

the garbage collector:
think about persistance, all communications data shall be saved for at least half a year. there´s something to be expected like a data affair.

happy day:
media can be used to terrorize our weak minds with fearing reports, repeatedly and constantly. you should cut all television down. you can watch arte and other quality tv stations online by now. drop all sorrows, humans should not be divided into single entities. and don´t believe that flu hype any longer.

security through obscurity:
listen to the track, some samples have been taken from Wikileaks. i hope you like it. Projects like Bundestag United or Die Bandbreite are far more sophisticated in music of this style (informational electronic music) and are hereby credited. You rock, guys – go on!

zirkumflex1a quick fix release for all three tracks that have been released earlier on shinymoon.

basswissenschaften, was my first attempt to go for bassline party tracks. you know, like samuel l session had the thing on phont music. this track was on single sided vinyl, but extremely limited. it went on air on clubding local radio, this was the only time as far as i know.

einzelpackung is just a weird beat with functional breaks and distortion play. it also tells you by name that sometimes a single pack is more that a multi bonus buy six get one free action chance pack. i hope you get it.

berührungsängste is a soundscape that i created to get a grip for a feeling that i often saw when i played for extremely drugged people. this one is for all these, who still dance in this state.

harder, monotone but psychedelic pumpers for club use. hirnkrankheit refers to brain damages that possibly go from latent to acute when listenting to this. nervengift is a nervous toxic but as long as you keep your body moving there should be no harm.
and when i´m not driving shows you what i hear when i´m not driving.
